Saved By Nicki Minaj

As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing worse than the high-pitched shriek that Mackenzie has managed to master in the last week. If you thought the sound of nails on a chalkboard was the most blood-curdling thing you could ever hear, think again.
This scream is not only embarrassing, it's downright stroke-inducing. I think Mackenzie may actually be trying to kill me. There's no other reason for making such a terrible noise.

I've tried to remain patient, hoping it would pass. I tried ignoring it, but that proved impossible. I even attempted to mimic her, thinking she'd realize what a demon child she was being. No success there.
Finally, I've resorted to yelling back. I mean, if I scream at her to stop, she'll eventually get it, right?
Apparently not.
So I'm stuck. This screeching cry for attention is ruining my life, not to mention my eardrums.
Enter Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" which -- luckily for me -- is on the radio every five seconds.
I'm not sure my car stereo is capable of reaching volumes that can compete with Mackenzie; so far my demon child seems to be winning in the decibel department.
But thanks to Nicki Minaj and her catchy song, I'm able to drown out my daughter to a certain degree, and I have yet to jump out of a moving vehicle.

What's your strategy for a screaming kid?

  1. Ok, I do actually have a solution that I forgot to mention today: http://zkidsmusic.com/personalized-mickey-minnie-goofy-kids-music-cds.html

Works every single time, but you WILL lose your mind and soul in the process.
